Internships
The KCC STEM Program works hard to find any and all internships that may be appropriate for STEM students. Internships provide a great opportunity for students because not only are you able to gain valuable hands-on experience, but many internships also offer college credits or monetary compensation for your work. Lastly, internships are a great way to begin networking and creating connections with business professionals in your field of interest.
Featured Internship Opportunities
The KCC STEM Center partners with the ExLENT program to provide internal and grant-funded internship opportunities specifically for our students. These internships are separate from the external listings below and may be available for limited application periods.
Summer 2026 ExLENT Internships – Applications OPEN!
Applications are now open for the ExLENT Summer Internships, a 10-week program where students work one-on-one with an industry partner specializing in emerging technologies within STEM fields. Students will also spend five hours per week with their cohort at the KCC STEM Center participating in workshops and professional development activities.
This internship provides hands-on experience that strengthens critical thinking and analytical skills while helping students build industry connections and enhance career opportunities.

Internship Dates: June 1 – July 31, 2026
