Advanced Remote Sensing and Marine Population Dynamics | HIMB Site Visit

Come join us at the Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology (HIMB) for a hands-on site visit where you’ll see how technology and AI-powered satellite models are helping scientists monitor whale health and track marine animal movements. The visit begins with an introduction to the site, followed by a tour of the island’s iwi kūpuna, guided by HIMB’s Indigenous Stewardship Coordinator, Aimee Sato. She has asked if any students are able to prepare lei and/or willing to share oli.

Date: Friday March 6, 2026, 9:30am to 1:00pm. 

Due: Monday March 2, 2026 – first come, first served
