Description: herb or small shrub with thin branches, small leaves and small yellow flowers. Root closely to the trunk of trees.

Lāʻau lapaʻau(Medicinal Use):
- The entire ko’oko’olau plant can be used as a medicinal treatment. When combined with ‘uhaloa tap roots, bark of ‘ohia ‘ai root, kukui flowers, ‘a;a’alawainui pehu, noni fruits, and ko kea can help with conjunction in adults.
- Other treatments can include diseases, cleansing/purifying, and kohepopo.
Ways it was Used:
- Herbal teas can be made from the leaves to treat throat and stomach troubles and for bad cases of asthma.
