Exploring Identity in STEM Workshop

Dr. Beto Vasquez from UC San Diego shared powerful tips on navigating personal and cultural identity in STEM. Students reflected, connected, and left inspired.

Students also got hands-on with cochineal, a natural red pigment from insects. By experimenting with acids and bases, they created reds that later turned gray, blending science with creativity.

The room was full of curiosity, energy, and conversation, proving that STEM is as much about identity and creativity as it is about formulas.
